Absolute world heavyweight boxing champion Oleksandr Usyk thanked his fans for their support in his fight against Britain's Tyson Fury.
On May 18, Usyk defeated Fury by split decision of the judges in the main event of an evening of boxing in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
"A little time passed after the fight, a little wrinkled face, but, thank God, there is a victory. I want to thank all the Ukrainians who prayed for me, all those guys who defend our country and protect it from the enemy. I want to thank every mom, dad, wife and all our children who are now withstanding this pressure. I am very grateful for your support. I get a huge number of messages of congratulations. Thank you.
I want to say a big thank you to everyone who supports me and my country. It is very important to me, I really appreciate it. Thank God for everything, glory to Ukraine," Usyk said in a video on Instagram.
