Tony Bellew, former cruiserweight champion of the world, reacted to the IBF's decision to strip Oleksandr Usyk of his championship belt and put it on the line in the Dubois vs. Hrgovic fight.
"My great sport is shooting itself in the foot! Why should Usyk vacate the belt? Alexander is the best super heavyweight on the planet and he just showed it. Let him have a rematch with Fury or fight another challenger for the belt. It's as simple as that! I am infuriated by the politics of this sport," Bellew wrote on social media.
Oleksandr Usyk will lose the IBF belt and will no longer be the absolute world champion on June 1.
