Legendary Ukrainian super heavyweight Wladimir Klitschko announced that he arrived in the capital of Saudi Arabia to support his compatriot Oleksandr Usyk in his upcoming fight with Tyson Fury.
The meeting of these fighters, at the stake of which will be all the titles in the heavyweight division, will take place tomorrow, May 18.
"I'm here in Riyadh for an absolute title fight.
In the senseless war that Putin's Russia has launched in Ukraine, with the aim of making Ukraine disappear as a country and a nation, silencing it and then turning it to ashes.
The world will look to Saudi Arabia on Saturday night. We are not silent. There are talented boxers here, talented Olympic athletes. We Ukrainians are just a talented nation in everything and that's it. I'm here to say that we intend to provide visibility and support for our country.
This is a historic battle for boxing. We will get the first absolute world heavyweight champion from Ukraine. Good luck to Usyk this Saturday. Glory to Ukraine," Klitschko said.
