Angelo Leo on Nick Ball: He is going to give Ford a lot of trouble

Raymond Ford, who recently won the WBA belt in March by defeating Otabek Kholmatov, remains undefeated with a record of 15-0-1. His opponent, Nick Ball, also boasts an impressive record of 19-0-1. The fight is set to take place under the '5 vs. 5' event alongside another major bout featuring Artur Beterbiev against Dmitry Bivol.

Angelo Leo detailed his thoughts on the stylistic matchup between Ford and Ball. "That’s an interesting matchup right there. Nick Ball is just like a little ball, you know. He’s short, but he just goes right in there, he muscles his way through. He’s a very good fighter, very tough," said Leo. He added that Ford showed great determination in his last fight against Kholmatov but suggested that Ball's different style might pose problems for him.

Ball had a contested split-decision draw against Rey Vargas just after Ford's last fight and previously secured a victory over Isaac Dogboe, proving his mettle as a formidable featherweight.

Ford serves as the team captain for Eddie Hearn’s Matchroom squad and operates under the guidance of Deontay Wilder.

Meanwhile, Angelo Leo aims to reclaim prominence in the featherweight division following his victories on ProBox TV's 'Wednesday Night Fights' series against Nicholas Polanco, Mike Plania, and Eduardo Baez.
