Alexander Krasiuk, General Director of K2 Promotions promotional company, recalled the beginning of cooperation with Ukrainian Denis Berinchyk, the challenger for the WBO lightweight title.

"Berinchik trusted right away. After all, when we started working with him, we already had Usik. And Alexander was already a world champion or one step before the world champion. Denis didn't have that "I know better" attitude. This is evident in the training process. After all, he is not just anyone, but a candidate of science. And although he looks peculiar - the image he keeps for himself - but Denis is, to put it mildly, a very intelligent guy. He is not like the absolute majority of guys.

I'm not generalizing right now. I'm talking about the fact that many guys live only boxing. They're not interested in anything else. They think that if they work hard, success will come anyway. No, my friend! In boxing, everybody works. And to be successful, you have to expand the scope of your work. And Berinchik is one of those guys. He's been doing science. I know he doesn't publicize it much. But he has a science degree. That's a fact. And we all witnessed him writing his dissertation, defending it. It's on sports psychology. Yeah, yeah, yeah! You'd think you'd look at Berinchik, a kid from the neighborhood. And he, for a second, a doctor of philosophy," said Krasiuk.
