Haney named the most difficult opponent of his career

Former undisputed lightweight champion Devin Haney admitted that he was the conqueror of three divisions Vasily Lomachenko gave him the toughest fight of his career.

Let us remind you that in May the American defeated the Ukrainian on points in a competitive confrontation.

“It was a tough fight with Lomachenko, for sure. To date, this is the most difficult opponent in his career. The fight was competitive, which is what throws people off. They say competitive boxing is robbery. Close fights are perceived as robbery, but this is a misconception. I definitely feel like I’ve won.

I took a lot of rounds in the beginning when Lomachenko only had two good rounds, which made people think he did more in the ring than he actually did. But the last round was the round I needed, I took it,” Haney said in an interview with Off The Cuf.

Let us remember that at the end of November, Haney left all lightweight belts vacant. This coming weekend he will have a fight with WBC junior welterweight champion Regis Prograis.
