Haney will leave lightweight titles vacant

Devin Haney announced that he was leaving the lightweight championship belts vacant and moving to junior welterweight.

“I did everything I could in the 135 category. The most important thing for me was to organize a fight with Gervonta Davis, and his side showed no interest in this fight. I’ve outgrown that division, so now I’m moving up to 140 to become a two-weight champion,” Haney said.

Let us remind you that on December 9, Devin will have to fight with Regis Prograis, WBC junior welterweight champion.
