Former two-division UFC champion, commentator and analyst Daniel Cormier suggested who the lightweight title holder is with Islam Makhachev will meet in the next three fights.
“Makhachev’s first opponent will be Oliveira. We already know this. Islam will deal with it in March. Who will be second? Gaethje. Justin made it clear that he was going to wait for his title shot. He wants this fight because he believes his style is perfect for defeating Islam.
The third one, I think, would be Dustin Poirier. Yes, next year Makhachev will face a series of tests. In one calendar year, Islam will fight with all the top lightweights of the last decade,” Cormier said on his YouTube channel.
