Chimaev named the condition under which he will drop to welterweight

Khamzat Chimaev, a contender for the UFC middleweight title, explained under what conditions he would return to the welterweight division.

“I will go down to welterweight just for the title. I don’t want to fight guys like Colby just like that. He doesn't have a belt, so why would I go down and fight him. I feel more comfortable performing here in the middle division. Here I don’t need to carry so much weight,” said the fighter.

Let us remember that in October Chimaev won by majority decision against Kamaru Usman, receiving in this fight the status of a contender for the championship fight.
