Islam Makhachev, the UFC lightweight champion, answered the question of whether he was ready to be an alternate fighter in the Edwards-Covington fight.
“To be honest, it depends on the offer. If it’s good, I’ll discuss it. But I would like to have one more fight with a normal camp, I have to prepare. Because these are also very strong guys. I consider both Colby Covington and Leon Edwards to be high-level fighters. I would like to fight with them in full form.”
Let us remind you that the fight between Edwards and Covington will headline the organization’s 296th tournament, which will take place on December 16.
