Cormier appealed to Cejudo, standing up for Aspinall

Daniel Cormier, a former two-division UFC champion, disagreed with Henry Cejudo, who recently criticized Tom Aspinall for an overly emotional, in his opinion, celebration of victory in the fight with Sergei Pavlovich.

“I like Cejudo, but he’s never made such a mistake before. Interim title or not, he had 12 pounds of gold on his belt, so he was emotional. For him, it was as real as the Olympic medal around Cejudo’s neck in Beijing. Tom’s father quit his job so his son could win this belt,” Cormier said.
