Khabib Nurmagomedov, the former UFC lightweight champion, reacted to the news that his friend Islam Makhachev, who now holds the lightweight championship belt, rose to the first place in the organization’s P4P rating.
“This is an unprecedented case when two fighters, raised from childhood by the same coach, in the same city, in the same gym, who trained side by side for a long time, become champions in the same weight in the best league in the world, UFC. And both also became the best fighters regardless of weight categories of their time. And believe me, this is not the end yet, Islam Makhachev continues to write history,” said Khabib.
