Maachev is confident that he can now compete with Mayweather

Islam Makhachev, the current UFC lightweight champion, is confident that now he could give a competitive fight to the former champion in several weight categories Floyd Mayweather.

“Right now it would be a competitive fight. It is with this Mayweather. I’m not saying that three or five years ago I would have been able to give him a competitive fight, but now he’s in a big decline, I don’t think he trains much. And I’m at the peak,” said Makhachev.

Let us remember that in his last fight, Makhachev knocked out Alex Volkanovski in the first round.
