UFC lightweight champion Islam Makhachev stated that the former two-division title holder Conor McGregor doesn't deserve to be his next opponent, but he won't mind if management decides to schedule this fight.
“A fight with McGregor? If he deserves it, comes back, wins a few fights, then why not? I don't think he deserves it. But if management says, then why not?” - said Makhachev.
Let us remind you that on October 21 at UFC 294, Makhachev defended his title for the second time, defeating Alexander Volkanovski by knockout in the first round. As for McGregor, he recently stated that his long-awaited return could take place in April.
