Khabib on leaving the sport: “It’s not easy to give up $30 million”

Former UFC lightweight champion Khabib Nurmagomedov told how he decided to end his professional career.

“When you are the best fighter in the world, when you are full of strength and you have money and fame, it is very difficult to give up all of this. It’s not easy to say “no” to 20 or 30 million dollars, but for me personally, all these things are not in the first place. This is not the most important thing.

It was not an easy decision, but once I made it, it became final. I quit the sport and I’m happy. I don’t regret making this decision one bit,” Nurmagomedov said in an interview with ESPN.

Let us remind you that Nurmagomedov hung up his gloves in the fall of 2020.
