Former UFC Bantamweight Champion Aljamain Sterling commented on the victory of the lightweight title holder Islam Makhacheva above Alexander Volkanovski, simultaneously suggesting who will be the next opponent of the Dagestani.
Let us remind you that on October 21 at the UFC 294 tournament, Makhachev knocked out Volkanovski in the first round. Initially, Islam's opponent was supposed to be Charles Oliveira, but the Brazilian withdrew due to injury 10 days before the tournament.
“Islam, wow! I'm looking forward to your new performance! I think the next fight is Makhachev vs. Gaethje. It seems to me that the UFC will probably be hesitant to give him Oliveira as his opponent,” Sterling wrote in X.
