Arslan's opponent was Edin Pukhalo (23-2, 22 KOs), a fighter with a good record, but actually an average fighter. Arslan, as always aggressive in the ring, knocked down his opponent with a left blow in the second round. In the sixth round, after three knockdowns in a row, the fight was stopped.

Arslan's record includes victories over Alexander Petkovic (TKO 6), Grigory Drozd (TKO 5), Valery Brudov (PTS 12), Virgil Hill (PTS 12) and Darnell Wilson (PTS 12). Arslan occupied the WBA throne from June 2007 to September 2008.
