Khamzat Chimaev told what he talked about in correspondence with his fiancee Paulo Costa.
“She wrote to me but deleted the message. She wrote: “Please, Khamzat, don’t take Kosta’s jokes seriously. He just wants to make money.” She deleted the message and I responded by sending her a funny photo to make her laugh. I have nothing against his wife. She wrote: “Nothing personal, we’re just trying to make money.” I replied: “Normal people don’t make money that way.” He must behave like a man.” Jokes are jokes, trash talk is trash talk, but there must be a line beyond which you cannot go.”
