Lara Garcia for WBA middleweight title on December 16?

On December 16, at a boxing evening from Premier Boxing Champions in the USA, a fight will take place between Erislandy Laroi (29-3-3, 17 KOs) and Danny Garcia (37-3, 21 KOs) for the WBA regular middleweight belt. It was previously reported that this fight could take place in August.

The World Boxing Association gave special consent to this fight on the condition that the winner crosses gloves with Michael Zerafa (31-4, 19 KOs) within the next 120 days. Previously, the Australian reached a financial agreement on this matter with Lara's team.

The Lara-Garcia fight will take place at the contract limit of 155 pounds. Garcia last fought in July last year, defeating Jose Benavidez. Lara's last fight took place in May last year.
