Former world light heavyweight champion Alexander Gvozdyk spoke about joint sparring with the owner of all the main belts in the second middle division Saul Alvarez.
āWhen I first started training with Alvarez, we sparred rarely. Then weĀ started doing it more often. This really was a lesson for me. IĀ learned a lot. What impressed me most wasĀ that Saul is a defensive genius. HeĀ hits very hard. Canelo may be smaller, butĀ he finds ways to stun you. He knows how to neutralize your power and moves around the ring perfectly. He isĀ very smart.
When I work with Alvarez, I am always in my best shape and condition. Joint sparring and training with him did me good,ā Gvozdyk said in an interview with The Ring.
Let us remind you that Alvarez will meet with Jermell Charlo in the main event of the boxing evening, which will take place on the night of October 1 in Las Vegas. On the undercard, Gvozdyk will fight Isaac Rodriguez.
