Gvozdyk revealed what Alvarez surprised him most in sparring

Former world light heavyweight champion Alexander Gvozdyk spoke about joint sparring with the owner of all the main belts in the second middle division Saul Alvarez.

“When I first started training with Alvarez, we sparred rarely. Then we started doing it more often. This really was a lesson for me. I learned a lot. What impressed me most was that Saul is a defensive genius. He hits very hard. Canelo may be smaller, but he finds ways to stun you. He knows how to neutralize your power and moves around the ring perfectly. He is very smart.

When I work with Alvarez, I am always in my best shape and condition. Joint sparring and training with him did me good,” Gvozdyk said in an interview with The Ring.
