Sterling was relieved after his early defeat to O'Malley

Aljamain Sterling, the former UFC bantamweight champion, admitted that after the early defeat Sean O'Malley he experienced some relief.

“After the fight it was a bit of a relief because thank God it was over and I was able to take a break, which offset the disappointment. Obviously I was upset that I made a mistake and something like this hasn’t happened since I fought Marlon Moraes...” Sterling said.

Let's remember that Sterling lost to O'Malley via TKO in the second round.
