Former UFC heavyweight champion, now PFL fighter Francis Ngannou said he still expects to one day share the Octagon with the current division title holder Jon Jones.

“Perhaps he will have a special belt or something like that. Maybe it won’t be a UFC title, but what worries me is not the title, but the fight itself, the challenge. I would have no problem fighting him without a belt on the line. I don't need the UFC title. This fight means more than the title.

Deep inside me there is still a small hope of meeting Jones. I understand that it will be difficult to arrange this, but you never know,” Ngannou said on Joe Rogan’s podcast.

Let us remind you that on October 28 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, Ngannou will make his professional boxing debut in a fight against WBC heavyweight champion Tyson Fury.
