Former UFC champion Valentina Shevchenko reported that after surgery on her hand, she will be able to begin full-contact training no earlier than in three to four months.

Let us remind you that last weekend Shevchenko drew her fight with Alexa Grasso — the title remained with the Mexican. In the first round, the representative of Kyrgyzstan received a splintered fracture of her finger.

“The doctors said it would take me three to four months to heal the injury and return to full training. And then it will take me a few more months to return to the championship level. I think the trilogy with Grasso will dot all the i’s. People want to see this fight,” Shevchenko said in an interview with ESPN MMA.

Valentina also added that she would not mind if Grasso did not wait for her, but held a defense against another contender.
