Former women's flyweight title holder Valentina Shevchenko stated that she still wants to fight the former two-division champion for the third time Amanda Nunez, who announced her retirement this year.
“Amanda is an incredible fighter and has achieved tremendous success in our sport. Many people condemn her decision to retire, but I want to say that you have no right to judge a fighter who has done so much.
I think she didn’t win our second fight. Victory was mine. Many people agree with me. Perhaps when Amanda rests and recharges, I'll still be here. Perhaps we will have a chance to meet again,” MMA Junkie quotes Shevchenko.
Let us remind you that on the night of September 17, Shevchenko will try to regain the belt in a duel with Alexa Grasso. The rematch will headline UFC Fight Night 227 in Las Vegas.
