Mendes named the main secret of Strickland's victory over Adesanya

The head coach of the AKA gym, Javier Mender, expressed the opinion that Sean Strickland managed to get a sensational victory in a battle with Israel Adesanya primarily due to exemplary defense.

Let us remember that last weekend at UFC 293, Strickland defeated Adesanya by unanimous decision and became the champion in the promotion’s middle division.

“All of Adesanya’s previous opponents did not defend as well as Strickland. Take a look at Shawn's stats: he is one of the few fighters in all divisions who doesn't miss any punches at all. He takes virtually no damage because he is a master at dodging blows. But I didn’t think it would happen at such a high level as the fight with Adesanya.
