Former interim UFC lightweight champion Justin Gaethje ate a forecast for the upcoming title rematch between the full-fledged division champion Islam Makhachev and former belt holder Charles Oliveira.
“I would have preferred to fight for the title with Oliveira, but I really think that Makhachev will win and I am excited about this new challenge. Absolutely,” MMA Fighting quotes the American.
Recall that the fight Makhachev - Oliveira 2 will head the UFC 294 tournament, which will be held on October 21 in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The first meeting of these fighters took place a year earlier and ended with the Russian winning by submission in the second round.
