Adesanya looks to headline UFC 300

UFC Middleweight Champion Israel Adesanya announced his desire to compete in the main event of the UFC 300 anniversary tournament, which will take place in the first quarter of next year.

“I would love to headline this show. I watched UFC 100, it was a fight between Brock Lesnar and Frank Mir, I watched UFC 200, Miesha Tate was there, a big fight. I have been a fan of this sport for many years. And I would like to be part of UFC 300 because I won’t be able to compete at UFC 400.

I will definitely fight at UFC 300. Alex Volkanovski should fight there too. And I will be in the co-main event. He's my homie. If he doesn't fight, then I'll be the headliner. I’m sure other fighters will want this, McGregor will also want to intervene,” Adesanya said at a press conference.
