Manuel Charr (34-4, 20 KOs) considers Anthony Joshua to be too weak an opponent now and aims at Tyson Fury (33-0-1, 24 KOs). Of course, first he has to deal with Jarrell Miller (26-0-1, 22 KOs).
As directed by the World Boxing Association, Charr was reinstated as a regular WBA heavyweight champion and also received two mandatory defenses. He must hold the first against Miller no later than October 14, and the next against the highest ranked fighter in the WBA. Apparently, the fight with Miller will take place in Nigeria, which was reported two days ago. Charr's next goal is to become the reigning WBC world champion.
“I’m not interested in fighting Joshua. I've always wanted to compete with the best, and the best right now is Fury. I will beat Miller and go after Fury, this is the best heavyweight fight right now. I only focus on that,” said Charr, who a few weeks ago wanted to fight Anthony Joshua (26-3, 23 KOs), but demanded $3 million for it.
