McGregor announces fight with Chandler

Former UFC champion in two weight divisions Conor McGregor published in social networks a screenshot with a countdown to the duel with Michael Chandler.

According to this publication, the fight will take place at the UFC 296 tournament, which will be held on December 16 in Las Vegas, USA.

The Irishman and American were expected to clash right after the end of the reality show TUF 31, where they acted as mentors to the opposing teams. However, the fight is still not officially scheduled as McGregor has not returned to the USADA testing pool.

Recall that McGregor has been idle since July 2021, when he lost to Dustin Poirier by technical knockout in the first round due to a broken leg. Chandler also lost to Poirier in November, losing by submission in the third round.
