Former UFC Women's Strawweight Champion Joanna Jedrzejczyk filed documents on retirement, according to MMA Fighting, citing representatives of the promotion.

The Polish athlete announced her retirement after a knockout loss to Weili Zhan last year, but remained in the USASA pool and did not notify the promotion of her retirement.

Jedrzejczyk considered returning to the octagon, but she ended up with a shoulder injury that required surgery, thwarting her plans to fight again.

Yoanna, 35, retired with a 16-5 record, including five UFC title defenses in the minimum division.
