Former UFC champion in two weight divisions, and now a commentator and analyst Daniel Cormier shared thoughts about the future Tony Ferguson after the sixth defeat in a row.

Last weekend at UFC 291, the former interim lightweight champion lost to Bobby Green by choke submission.

“He lost to intimidating fighters Nate Diaz, Michael Chandler, Benil Dariush, Charles Oliveira, Justin Gaethje and now Bobby Green. The reality is that he is already 39 years old, and even though he still has the guts to keep fighting, it doesn't look like his body is allowing him to do what his mind tells him to do.

I think for this reason he should ask to give him lower level opponents or he should leave and compete elsewhere. Most likely, he will be angry with me because of these words, because he can still fight, it's just that the body no longer reacts as the mind tells him. So I'm leaning towards Tony leaving," Cormier said on the DC & RC podcast.
