Former two-weight UFC champion, current commentator and analyst Daniel Cormier talked about what the future might be for the ex-holder of the temporary belt in the lightweight division of the promotion Dustin Poirier.

ā€œI donā€™t think Poirier will fight just for the sake of fighting. I understand that he loves money, but he has already earned a lot of it. I think Dustin wants to be a champion. So I don't know what's next for him.

I hope he does not end his career and continue to perform. Because I believe that people will see many more Dustin Poirier fights. Those who follow Dustin understand that he will return. We have seen many of his ups and downs. Porrier will still achieve a lot, but that evening he was stronger than Gaethje, ā€Cormier said on his YouTube channel.

Recall that on July 30 at the UFC 291 tournament, Poirier lost to Justin Gaethje by knockout in the second round. The show took place in Salt Lake City, USA.
