Shakur Stevenson and Lomachenko could fight for Haney's belt

Bob Arum, head of promotional company Top Rank, believes that Shakur Stevenson can fight with Vasily Lomachenko for the WBC World Lightweight Championship. This will happen if the reigning champion Devin Haney leave it vacant.

“If Haney moves up in weight to fight Prograis, then the WBC title will become vacant and Stevenson will fight Lomachenko for it. We will start negotiations, perhaps sometime this month," the functionary said.

Recall that the confrontation between Haney and Prograis will be held on October 28. At stake in this fight will be the WBC light middleweight belt, owned by Prograis.
