UFC Featherweight Champion Alexander Volkanovski posted on social media that he had undergone surgery on his left arm. Now the fighter will have to spend a six-week rehabilitation period, after which he will be able to return to training.
Recall that on July 9 at the UFC 290 show, Volkanovski defeated Yair Rodriguez by technical knockout. The win was the Australian's fifth title defense. At a press conference after the tournament, Alex announced his desire to have a rematch with the lightweight division champion Islam Makhachev, whom he lost on points in February.
