Vasily Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) cannot accept the decision of the judges and will be happy to enter the ring again with Devin Haney (30-0, 15 KOs). But the main question at the moment is whether the undisputed world lightweight champion wants such a revenge.
“Do we want revenge? Yes, sure. Will we get it? I sincerely doubt it. Vasily won the first fight one hundred percent, and Haney already knows who he is dealing with. I won’t say that the judges were corrupt, but they probably saw a different fight than we did, and everyone knows who was better then. These fighters have unfinished business with each other, we want a rematch and are looking for such a chance, but, unfortunately, I am skeptical about this. I don't believe Haney will give us a second fight," said Egis Klimas, Lomachenko's longtime manager.
On May 20, Haney defeated Lomachenko by decision 116-112 and twice 115-113, despite the fact that most experts saw a slight advantage for the Ukrainian.
