Briedis is about to return to the ring

Former World Heavyweight Champion Mairis Briedis (28-2, 20 KOs) will return to the ring on July 21 at a boxing evening organized in Edinburgh, UK, where he will face John McCallum (13-2, 0 KOs).

The Latvian will box for the first time since last year's loss to Jai Opetaya. During this time, Briedis made unsuccessful attempts to cross gloves with Jake Paul.

McCallum, in turn, has not boxed for two years. The main event of this evening will be the duel between Lee McGregor and Erik Ayala for the title of IBO World Super Bantamweight Champion.
