The famous commentator Max Kellerman believes that the absolute world champion in the super middleweight Saul Alvarez there should be no rematch with Dmitry Bivol.
“In recent years, Canelo has been pushing for a certain fee structure for rivals. This was probably the biggest thing that prevented us from seeing him in the fights we wanted to see. We saw Canelo in fights with decent guys. His opponents had belts, he wanted to unify super middleweight titles, but they weren't the kind of fighters we really wanted him to face. Fight with Charlo, Benavidez or Beterbiev.
It was strange that by choosing one opponent among the strongest fighters, Canelo was put up against a guy who could defeat him. If you want Canelo to be beaten, then put him against Bivol, right? This is the worst style for him. The economy probably plays a role here too. Perhaps Bivol will cost less than, for example, Benavidez, who will bring an audience. If I was in Canelo's camp, I would talk him out of a rematch," Kellerman said in an interview with Seconds Out.
Recall that in May last year, Bivol defeated Canelo by unanimous decision.
