WBA obliges Rollie Romero to defend title with Ohara Davis

WBA Announces World Lightweight Champion Rolando Romero (15-1, 13 KOs) must make a mandatory title defense against Ohara Davis (25-2, 18 KOs).

The 31-year-old Briton, who lost only to Josh Taylor and Jack Catterall in the professional ring, won against Lewis Ritson in his last performance.

Romero won the World Boxing Association belt in the first half of May, defeating Ismael Barroso by a controversial stoppage. Recently, the 27-year-old boxer began negotiations for a fight with Ryan Garcia.
