Smith weighs Usman's chances against Chimaev

Former UFC light heavyweight contender Anthony Smith expressed the opinion that the former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman will be a significant outsider in the upcoming fight against Khamzat Chimaev.

“Certainly, this is a bold step. This says a lot about Usman's mental state, because some people write him off. They say: "He has graduated and will probably retire." But his desire to fight Chimaev tells a completely different story.

It will be an uphill battle, but there are some aspects that seem to fit into Khamzat's game. I think if Usman were younger and less worn out, then my opinion would be different from the current one. He is no longer the fighter he used to be. He used to attack mercilessly with takedowns. I doubt that he will have such an opportunity in this fight, ”BJ Penn quotes Smith.
