Former two-weight world champion and current ESPN commentator Andre Ward disagree that Vasily Lomachenko robbed in battle with Devin Haney.

“No, it wasn't a robbery. The fight was close. After the fight, I repeatedly said to ignorant people that we call close rounds "on thin". This means that in it one blow can separate one or another fighter from the victory. It all depends on what the judge looks at, what he likes. For example, Loma struck before the gong - I appreciated that. Haney hit ten seconds before the gong, and Loma did not answer - Haney took the round.

To tell the truth, I'm tired of talking about the robbery. And not only in the context of the battle between Haney and Loma, but in general. There are hardcore fans and rank and file who attack our sport. When decisions like this happen, people most of the time don't know what they're looking at. No one sat in the arena counting each round. But they just came up with this narrative that belittles this fight, its winner and both guys who put on an amazing performance," Ward said in an interview with the Sporting News YouTube channel.

Recall that on May 20, Haney defeated Lomachenko by unanimous decision (116-112, 115-113, 115-113).
