Benavidez promoter meets Alvarez coach

Sampson Levkowicz, promoter David Benavidez (27-0, 23 KOs), said that he met yesterday, on Saturday, with the coach Saul Alvarez (59-2-2, 39 KOs) Eddie Reynoso and discussed with him the possibility of a fight in the super middleweight division of their boxers.

“I had the pleasure and honor to meet with Eddie Reynoso and Luis DeCubas Jr. about the Saul Alvarez vs. David Benavidez fight. Next week, I will send an official proposal to Canelo and his team for analysis and a formal decision,” Levkovich said about his informal meeting.

Subsequently, Reynoso noted that despite the fact that his team is considering the possibility of meeting with Benavidez, a rematch with Dmitry Bivol in light heavyweight remains a priority for them.
