At the press conference after the fight Vasily Lomachenko (17-3, 11 KOs) spoke about his defeat at the hands of the undisputed lightweight champion Devina Haney (30-0, 15 KOs) on Saturday at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas. In the fight, Lomachenko did his best, but ultimately failed, and Haney won a controversial unanimous decision victory.

“What is, is, but I want to say thank you to Bob, your company gave me a second chance. See you next time. I know that I won this fight. I controlled the fight and every round of it."

“Everyone was shocked by the bill, but I will not comment on it. I am a promoter,” said promoter Bob Arum.

Lomachenko's manager, Egis Klimas, said Lomachenko's team would file a protest with the Nevada State Athletic Commission.

“This is the biggest robbery ever. For the other team, Christmas came in the summer. We will appeal, but we want to show that justice must prevail. Someone has to put an end to this injustice,” Klimas said.
