“Now all the pressure is on Haney, not on me. I've lost before, I'm an underdog, I'm an old boxer," he recently told Top Rank in an interview. Vasily Lomachenko, who on May 20 at the MGM Grand in Las Vegas, Nevada will face Devin Haney for IBF, WBO, WBC and WBA lightweight belts.

“We'll see,” Haney said in an interview with BoxingScene.com when asked if Lomachenko would be his toughest opponent. — On paper, of course, yes. I have nothing but respect for Lome and what he has done to date, but I am just a fighter of a different level. What he got away with against other fighters, he won't get away with against me."

“His experience alone outweighs all my opponents to this day,” Haney added. — You know his style, he likes to calculate everything in advance. He is smart in the ring. He doesn't just walk into the ring and throw punches without any plan for the fight. He comes out ready for anything and sets his traps."
