Deontay Wilder (43-2-1, 42 KOs) ready to replace Daniel Dubois (19-1, 18 KOs) in the fight for three heavyweight belts, if the Briton for some reason has to withdraw from the championship fight.

The day before yesterday, the WBA published a resolution in which it scheduled promotional bidding for the fight on May 25 Oleksandr Usyk against Dubois, adding that if Dubois refuses to fight, the place of the contender will be given to Wilder, as the highest ranked boxer.

“If Deontay was offered a duel with Usyk, we would be interested in it,” Bronze Bomber manager Shelley Finkel said in an interview with Sky Sports.

It is worth recalling that, according to unofficial data, Wilder is currently close to signing a contract for a fight with Anthony Joshua (25-2, 23 KOs), which is due to take place in December in Saudi Arabia.
