White is ready to arrange a fight between Usman and Chimaev on one condition

UFC President Dana White reacts to the desire of the former welterweight champion Kamaru Usman fight with Khamzat Chimaev in intermediate weight.

“What I don’t like here is that Kamaru is challenging him to a catchweight fight. I do not arrange fights in intermediate categories. Such fights mean nothing, they are meaningless.

If Usman wants to move up to middleweight and fight Chimaev, we can discuss it. And the fight in the intermediate category is not interesting to me, ”White said at a press conference before UFC 288.
