Ukrainian boxer of the first welterweight Yaroslav Khartsyz (2-0, 2 KOs) spoke about his career plans.

“I set out to win these Olympic Games in Paris and, most likely, after that I will move away from Olympic boxing. But life is such a thing that you don’t want to guess - we’ll see how everything goes.

At the Tokyo Olympics, I was in the worst shape I could imagine. Now I am a completely different boxer and I will try to do everything in order to approach the Olympic Games in Paris in a radically different form.

You are already coming to the Olympics as a champion, this is a feeling that cannot be expressed in words. When you're in the mood, when you're fresh, you don't think about the result, you don't think about money, gifts, you just come for a holiday, like for a birthday, enjoy boxing, do your job well.

The medal is the reverse side of all your work done," Khartsiz said in an interview with Ukrinform.

At the 2020 Olympics in Tokyo, Khartsiz lost to an athlete from Azerbaijan, Javid Chalabiev, in the 1/16 finals.
