Gvozdyk: "Sparring with Canelo inspired me"

Former World Light Heavyweight Champion Alexander Gvozdyk (18-1, 14 KOs) shared his expectations from the fight against the Latvian Richards Bolotniks (19-6-1, 8 KOs).

— What do you know about Bolotkins?

- I know enough about Bolotkins to know that he is a very strong and tough fighter. He will do his best to send me into retirement.

— What did you learn upon your return?

- Sparring with the best made me understand that I can still compete at the highest level. Sparring with Canelo inspired me and also gave me the opportunity to realize my abilities.

I know that Oleksandr Usyk sparred with Bolotkins in the past, so I will definitely talk to him before the fight to get any possible information that can play in my favor, Gvozdyk said in an interview with Bad Left Hook.

The fight will take place on May 6 on the undercard of the Alvarez-Ryder fight in Mexico.
