The date of the fight and the opponent of Parker in Australia were determined

Former World Heavyweight Champion Joseph Parker (31-3, 21 KOs) will play his next fight on May 24 in Melbourne. The opponent of the 31-year-old athlete will be a Samoan Faiga Opelu (15-3-2, 11 KOs).

This will be Parker's first professional performance in front of an Australian audience. The boxer spent most of his fights in New Zealand, and in recent years his fights were often organized in the UK.

In January, Parker defeated Jack Massey via unanimous decision. Opel had his last professional fight in March.
