Mendoza knocked out Fundora

In the main event of the Premier Boxing Champions evening in Carson Brian Mendoza (22-2, 16 KOs) knocked out in the seventh round Sebastian Fundora (20-1-1, 13 KOs) and won the interim WBC super welterweight title.

At the time of the stoppage of the fight, Fundora was in the lead in all the referee's notes. In the seventh round, Mendoza brought an oncoming left hook to the target, from which Fundora ended up on the floor. The fight was ultimately decided by a powerful right hand, after which the 25-year-old boxer was counted to ten. As a result, Fundora suffered his first professional defeat.

As part of the boxing evening in California, Chris Arreola returned to the ring, knocking out Matthew McKinney in the second round. In the summer, the American should cross gloves with Frank Sanchez, who knocked out Daniel Marz in the first round on the undercard.

At the event in Carson, the former world super lightweight champion Devon Alexander suffered another defeat. The American refused to continue after the third round of the fight with Gabriel Maestre. In the second three-minute period, Alexander was on the floor.

Also that evening, Ukrainian left-hander Viktor Slavinsky (14-2-1, 6 KOs) won by a majority vote over Juan Antonio Lopez (17-14-1, 7 KOs), thus closing his last two defeats. Judging scores: 78-74, 77-75 and 76-76.
