Kenshiro Teraji (21-1, 13 KOs) defeated Anthony Olasquaga (5-1, 3 KOs) by TKO in the ninth round and defended his WBC and WBA flyweight titles. Their duel became the main event of the evening in Tokyo.

At the time the fight was stopped, Teraji was leading in points. Having little professional experience, Olasquaga agreed to the fight a few days before it was held and put up quite worthy resistance.

As part of the same evening, Takuma Inoue, Naoya's younger brother, defeated Liborio Solis by unanimous decision and won the WBA bantamweight belt, and Reya Abe defeated Kiko Martinez in an IBF featherweight belt eliminator.
